I just can’t resist posting an ad I came across on Barnstormers today. If you’re in California (or wanna be), love hot-shot Vintage, Antique, Classic or one-of-a-kind, factory and home-built aircraft, it’s time to consider basing yourself at this airport. If you have a dream of living in your hangar where there’s a hot-bed of activity, aviation history, interesting airplanes and people, consider this airport.

I’ve visited this California airport twice in my life (many years apart) and both times thought “This is my DREAM airport!” In reality I’m a Midwest gal and the chances of me moving to California are pretty slim. Based there are many lady taildragger pilots; Judy Phelps (co-owner of CP Aviation), Rowena Mason (airport manager), Lisa Keinholz, Jessica Bauman, Lucy Galgano, Kat Barilova, Kati Ganzer, Dianna Leason, Michelle Carter, balloon pilot Peggy Watson Meinke and many others.
