Oct 2018 A Lady Taildragger pilot pays it back!!
One of the things that fell through the cracks before I headed out on the Haunted Flying Tour was stopping delivery of my mail. I thought about logging onto USPS a couple times before departing but something more important always popped up. So a week goes by and driving into my neighborhood I knew my mailbox would to be overflowing with the usual junk mail and, worse yet, bills. They’re a thorn in my side but I’m always hopeful I’ll find something on the happy side in my box, some fun little unexpected surprise to make it all worthwhile.
Bingo! Picking through the pile of advertisements, junk mail, and bills I found one little treasure that made me smile, laugh out-loud, and reinvigorated in me what I already knew. Women taildragger pilots own it and get it done!
In the envelope I found two $20 bills with a note that read, “The $20 is for the shirt that I received from LLT years ago, and the rest is interest.”
:) (Return address hidden on purpose!) Now how cool is that?! I’ve given lots of LadiesLoveTaildraggers tshirts to women who genuinely seemed not able to pay for them. Many to college students, others to ladies I’ve asked to pay when they can. I don’t keep track and trust my costs will ultimately be covered. I know there’s more to life than selling a few LadiesLoveTaildraggers tshirts but sales do pay for my website overhead. 
This jewel of a surprise made my day. She’s one special lady taildragger pilot who obviously loves flying, taildraggers, awesome stickers and for some reason felt it was time to pay it back and then some. She rocks!! Mysterious lady, thank you so much for making my day. Trust that I wasn’t keeping track and I hope to meet you again and see you flying the taildragger of your dreams!
