Love flying taildraggers but want to sharpen your skills? Apply for the “Stick & Rudder Master Class Scholarship“.

Online applications are due by midnight February 28, 2016 and the winners will be announced no later than April 15, 2016. Winning applicants must complete flight instruction by September 30, 2016.
Scholarship #1 Tailwheel Endorsement. Are you a female nose-wheel pilot who would love to earn your tailwheel endorsement? Here’s your chance to win a free endorsement with Brian Lansburgh at Sisters Airport in Oregon including paid expenses to get you to Oregon and back home again!
Scholarship #2 Stick & Rudder Master Class. Maybe you’re a LadiesLoveTaildraggers member or a current female tailwheel pilot who would love to hone your flying skills? Win this fun flying class and become the proficient pilot you know you can be. Also includes paid expenses to and from Oregon!
About the Scholarships
Both include:
- 6 Hours Flight Instruction in a 1948 Cessna 140 by Brian Lansburgh
- Location: 6K5, Sisters Eagle Airport, Sisters, Oregon
- All ground school
- Biennial Flight Review
- Airfare
- Lodging
- Car rental
- Meal expenses
Scholarships are valued at up to $1995 each including Brian’s donation of the Tailwheel Endorsement.
Requirements for applicants:
- Must be female
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age
- Must hold a minimum of Sport Pilot license
- Must weigh no more than 180 pounds
- Must sign a Tailwheel Productions Model Release Form (photos & video may be taken during training) Â AND write an article about your flying experiences for LadiesLoveTaildraggers
- Must be passionate about taildragging!
Getting to Sisters Airport
Many California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho students simply drive to Sisters, which sits on Highway 20 just 18 miles northwest of Bend, Oregon. Those from more distant parts of the U.S. find it convenient to fly into Redmond (KRDM), rent a car and drive the short distance to Sisters.
Lodging & Dining
Accommodations TBD. One option includes the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge at 505 U.S. 20, Sisters, Oregon, a favorite of pilots flying into Sisters Airport. When it comes to dining, there are several great places to dine in Sisters.
