This is a fantastic opportunity for advanced tailwheel training in the Chugach Mountains and Knik Glacier area of Alaska. Ella Blanks at Blue River Aviation tells me, “We have about 5 glacier right in our back yard and endless options for off airport flying. Would just love to give back (to the aviation community) and pass it along.”

This scholarship provides 5 hours of free Super Cub time with a back-country instructor. A limited travel allowance will be provided by LadiesLoveTaildraggers.

Palmer, Alaska, is a picturesque little town just 45 minutes from Anchorage. Palmer’s history runs deep, with more than 200 families relocating from the Midwest under the 1930s New Deal. Together they established an agricultural community, thanks in part to the rich soil in the area that was carved thousands of years ago by glaciers.
