Arrival pictures from LLT Fly-in

Did I mention our fly-in was FUN! We tried very hard to get pictures of all arriving pilots, passengers and their aircraft but somewhere along the way we started losing track. OK, so Anne-Marie’s on her bike but that’s good – she’s a pilot and rode that bike all the way from Ontario Canada to our fly-in. Here are some of the great pictures we did manage to get!

Aw! It looks and sounds great. I had a wonderful time flying around closer to home with my mom. Next year, I won’t invite any riders to come with me. Then I can be more time/weather flexible 🙁

What a fantastic group of inspiring, interesting women I met this past weekend! I had an incredible time and felt like I met 30 or 40 long lost sisters! Thank you so much for the hospitality and the work that was put into organizing this flyin. Special thanks to Patti and Cathy for the rides in your beautiful planes. Any other flyin will pale in comparision now….I’ve been completely spoiled! 🙂

    This was my first fly-in.
This was my first major cross country trip.
This was my first time flying in “formation” with 6 other supercubs. I was flying with the Big Dawgs.
I cannot begin to tell you how much I learned from the experience and from all of the extraordinary people that I met. It was a privilege. thank you!!!!! You guys ROCK

Ken & I left Sunday morning headed west for Oklahoma in the 182 expecting the projected scattered T-storms and strong headwinds. We stayed at 800-1000 msl and the headwinds weren’t nearly as bad as predicted — GREAT! Diverted a few miles around light showers with cloud-to-ground lightning near Newport, AR, stopped at Clinton, AR, for self-serve fuel, then straight home to Enid without any problems. Had a Wonderful time at the fly-in. Wonderful food, excellent activities, beautiful weather, great people, couldn’t ask for a better airport and personnel! Hope to be at future events.
