Dec 2011 Barbara Hunt (Massachusetts)
Barbara Hunt is based at KTAN, Taunton Municipal Airport – King Field, Taunton, Massachusetts.
Well, I first met my husband while I when I was 17 and attending Cornell. He was in ROTC and hoping to “fly jets”, and I was only interested in being a champion runner, and scholar.
But, both the jet guy, and flying, eventually got into my system and now I spend my days and nights thinking about the sky, and the earth (still a runner at heart), and our children.
I had a Champ, which I loved, and exchanged for my Citabria on straight floats. We also have an RV-8, which is quite a trip to roll in the sky over my house.
It’s Dec. 26th here in MA and I just said to my husband “I really want to go flying tomorrow!”
Married to my aviator husband, Captain Bill Hunt, AA 767.
We flew in my little Grumman AA1B yesterday. Here in New England winter flying is somewhat limited, but I do get out year round when weather permits!
PS My dream is to fly my seaplane to all the lakes in Maine.

Posted at 10:06h, 29 DecemberYou get to do a lot of fun stuff. That ice looks slick. I keep waiting for winter to arrive here in WY, but we’ve been in the 50’s this week. I think maybe it’s just a delay, since winter didn’t get over til June in 2011.
