I bought my wheel version of the Cessna 18O over 20 years ago, after flying on floats in southeast AK, and loving what this airplane could do.

My most fun, best challenges and favorite aviation adventures have been in classic, conventional gear aircraft.

Thank you so much for linking like minded people who love these planes.

Saw the 180 at the top of LLT today and realized that it’s the one my husband first took me up in back in the ’70’s when he owned it after rebuilding it! Beautiful!

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who kissed my 180s spinner. It is just such a wonderful plane. I had to sell my ’54 180 two years ago. She was 300 hours over TBO still humming along perfectly but I knew that I didn’t have the $$ to do the OH and so had to sell. 🙁 I had her for 23 years.

I remember Oceano well. Good for you for flying a 180 there with all the crosswinds. But it’s fun once you know how, huh. 🙂

Write and share some of your 180 adventures and I’ll do likewise if you like. Thumbs up! Ann
