AAUW Career Development Grant to Help Aviation Student Pursue Goals
” Chelsea was born and raised in Auburn, CA and attended the University of California Davis where she completed her pre-med classes and graduated with a degree in history. She is now an FAA Certified Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor living in Santa Cruz, CA. Chelsea teaches aerobatics along with primary and advanced flight training and is a competitive aerobatic pilot around the central coast and San Francisco Bay Area. In February Chelsea graduated from the United States Navy’s Aviation Safety Officer’s School in Pensacola, FL as one of very few civilians to do so. Her professional goals focus on competition aerobatics as well as flight and safety instruction. She reaches out to pilots and anyone else interested through her website, www.goinverted.com, where she blogs about numerous topics and experiences including being a centrifuge research subject, aviation history, safety, and how to manage under pressure and high stress situations. She considers her passion, work and education a 3-fold way to help others succeed through dedication and determination.”  AAUW.org
