Christi Masi (Washington)

Christi Masi is based at KBFI, Boeing Field, Seattle, Washington.

I fly a Murphy Rebel Elite built by my husband. The plane’s first flight was in 2000 and it’s taken me this long to finally tackle the challenge. I started flying in 2016 with a club. I changed to flying our plane at the end of 2016.

In Oct. 2017 my husband was diagnosed with brain cancer. He passed away in July of 2018. I love flying the plane he built and I will do everything I can to keep it in the air.

Ratings: I’m a student pilot…..still.

Aircraft flown: Cessna 162, 172, Murphy Rebel Elite

Thoughts on taildragging: My husband sparked my interest, but now the fire is mine. I always love a challenge and an opportunity to do things a little different.
