Oct 2010 Dana Bain (Missouri)
Dana Bain flies a PA18 Piper Super Cub out of Noah’s Ark Airport (o6MO) Waldron, Missouri.
After a 20 year “break” from flying, I started learning again in a PA-18 Piper Super Cub last spring and had the best summer of my life (thanks to a patient husband and a terrific instructor, my aviation partners). I’m an air traffic controller at Kansas City Center and I fly out of Noah’s Ark, which is real close to KMCI. I only have about 40 hours so far but am starting to do some short trips and having a blast! Not ready for OSH yet but maybe pancakes in Tarkio first, work my way up 🙂
My instructor/partner is already pictured on you website; he is Steve Johnson who gave Cathy Pierce her taildragger endorsement. Small world!
