Feb 2012 Deborah VanTreuren (Florida)
Deborah VanTreuren is based at X50, Edgewater (south of  New Smyrna Beach), Florida.
The Citabria is my instructor’s plane. My Twister is under construction; expected finish is fall.
I am very close to finishing up my PPL.
I’m in the process of building a Twister- A German taildragger, 3/4 scale Spitfire inspired, carbon fiber and composite. This is a phenomenal airplane! My initial training was in the Citabria 7ECA. Will finish up my endorsement by the end of Feb 2012.

Deborah’s Twister won’t be finished till fall so no pictures yet. I had no idea what a German “Twister” is but found this YouTube video of a 180hp flying some pretty cool aerobatics. It’s quite a performance. Looking forward to seeing yours, Deborah. Judy

I was already committed to be out of town this year, but will put it on the calendar now for next year!

We would be soooo very honored to see some of you gals at our next Marvel of Flight event in the Florida Panhandle in 2013. We received many comments at this year’s event (this past weekend), that we need to feature some female aviators. Can you give me some direction on how to make that happen? My # is 850-892-2000.

good luck with the tailwheel endorsement and the Twister. We bought our kit from a very nice chap in the US. It should arrive into Melbourne in three or fours days and I am very excited. I am busy reading composite books and getting a workshop ready.
I hope the build is going well. I would love to see pictures, if you get the time.
