May 2012 Early Early Arrivals at the Lady Taildraggers Flyin!
It’s too early to tell how our Lady Taildraggers & Friends Fly-in is going to shake out this year but so far there are 4 of us! Hey, it’s only Wednesday and early arrivals don’t officially start till tomorrow.

I had an early flight from Baker Field this morning. I flew Chuck Avon down to Murray Field to pick up his Tcraft then we did a lose formation the 55 miles into Savannah. Lovely flight!

We didn’t expect to see the Tracy’s already but they got in early afternoon. They didn’t hang out long though, just enough time for a hot dog and a quick shower then off to visit friends in Memphis? They’ll be back in the morning.

Posted at 20:50h, 31 MayWhoo, wind and rain at 5:45 today! Luckily we got everybody in hangars and the only thing that didn’t fare too well was the big yellow tent. Nothing going on in there yet anyway so all is well. We’re actually having a GREAT time so far and hope everyone that’s trying to get here can get the job done tomorrow or Saturday morning. Rusty, the Poker Run pilot briefing is 10:15, maybe 10:30 at the latest with the first aircraft departing about 11:00. Montille’s doing amazing things for breakfast so get here early if you’re hungry! Worth the trip!!

Posted at 07:09h, 31 MayEngine overhaul is still in progress – engine mount issues – so 94Bravo will sit this one out. I, on the other hand, am hitchhiking over on Saturday courtesy of a kind neighbor with a Bonanza. I sure look forward to meeting everyone in person.
