May 2016 Elizabeth Reese: Mack Mesa Airport, Colorado, May 20-22, 2016
News from Elizabeth Reese.
Hi! Just came to the realization that I never posted an update I said I would after my (private pilot) check ride back in 2012! It went well, although I can’t say it went smoothly! There was bumpy air, we had malfunctioning headsets so it was difficult to hear one another, and there was lots of traffic that day that required the tower to request expedited landings and route diversions! I guess I handled all of those situations well because I passed, and my examiner even complimented me on my slipping skills! 🙂 I have included in this post a photo from that day.

A photo from my check-ride!
Now, for something current, I would also like to give you info on a fun spring fly-in you may be interested in…Annual spring fly-in with good friends, good food, and of course, FLYING at Mack Mesa Airport (10CO) May 20-22. Pilot skills contest, EAA sponsored meals, poker run, short field take-offs, camping, live band Saturday evening, cannon ball launch, corn hole and other feet-on-the-ground activities, High Line Lake State Park near by, Twin Otter & Miller Stearman static displays, contest awards, and much more! Go to FlyColorado.org for more information and to register. All participants are required to register prior to arrival. Hope to see you there!
