Oct 2018 Fran West (Australia)
Fran West is based near Adelaide, South Australia.
Hi Judy, I finally went through my log book and discovered I have just over 20 hours in taildraggers. A voyage of discovery!
I’m an Australian and I’ve been flying since 1980 but have only about 600 hours total. In 1999/2000 I followed my big dream of flying around the coast of Australia in a Cessna 172P. Just love aerial photography, photographing planes and creating photo products for pilots.
Ratings: SEL, SES, constant speed endorsement, tailwheel endorsement, ultralight licence, retractable gear endorsement
Aircraft flown: Citabria, PA-18 Piper Super Cub float plane, Taylorcraft float plane, Jabiru ultralight, Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 172 float plane, Piper Warrior, Piper Cherokee, Cessna 150, Cessna 210, Piper Lance, Piper Colt, Cessna 182, Piper Tomahawk
Dream Taildragger:Â Something that’s very flashily painted!
Thoughts on Taildragging: They’re just different. More like real flying in the early days of flight.
