Friday from the LadiesLoveTaildraggers Texas Fly-in!!

Trust me, it’s hard to beat a day like today! The weather didn’t exactly cooperate early in the day but by early afternoon things started to improve. It was impossible not to get excited when Donna Miller swept into the pattern of KSLR in her Ryan PT-22.

It was nothing but cool when Julie Thomas flew her Stearman in yesterday and even better when she offered me a ride today. Of course the answer was a very loud YES!! I logged 15 minutes of sensational  Stearman flight time circling the area and doing a smoke-on flyby in this lumbering beauty.

We had several awesome aircraft arrive today. Russell Armstrong flew his Beaver in and the ladies were lining up for rides.

Ann Pellegreno flew around the world in a Lockheed 10 Electra in 1967 and enjoyed flying right seat in Russell’s Beaver.

Thank you to Roger Elliott for letting us use his amazing hangar for our evening dinners.

Our Friday night dinner was compliments of Legend Cub which is based at KSLR. They are giving factory tours and demo rides for the ladies and their guests this weekend.
