Many thanks to Theresa Berthelsdorf for donating her leather flight jacket to the LadiesLoveTaildraggers Scholarship Fund. Theresa wants her “pleasantly worn” jacket to go to a good cause and messaged me asking if I was interested. You bet I’m interested! With our Scholarship Fund chipping away at our goal of raising $5000 to train women pilots in the art of tailwheel flying, all opportunities are welcome. Theresa and I agreed her lovely jacket would be a wonderful fundraiser for our scholarship fund. Jacket size, Medium.

Theresa Berthelsdorf : “For a while I flew a 1942 Interstate Cadet and the big pockets on this jacket were so handy because there was absolutely nowhere to put a purse in that airplane!”

Theresa Berthelsdorf  says “Back in 1989, when I got my pilot license, a very nice leather flight jacket was given to me as a gift. The gift giver is long dead and gone, I haven’t flown in several years and I hardly ever wear the jacket anymore. I thought about selling it, but I would really like it to go to a gal who has just earned her ticket, or a tailwheel endorsement, or whatever accomplishment has been achieved. If I sent this to you, could you facilitate it making its way to a worthy new owner?”

“It is “pleasantly worn”, in other words, enough to have character but still in very nice shape, and good for many more years of wear. It has a zip-out fur liner- that zipper and the front zipper both work smoothly.”
