Have a great weekend!

I’m heading out for the Marion, Indiana Fly-in/Cruise-in in a few minutes and hope to see a few other lady taildragger pilots there – heck, lady pilots of any sort would be great. It’s a ridiculous 95 degrees in Indianapolis right now and tomorrow it’s going to be 97 – and it’s September! Crazy. At least no camping for me at Marion – I’ll be overnighting at the hotel that’s booked full of pilots & their families –  with the air-conditioning blowing on me. If you’re within flying distance there’s a nice pancake breakfast on Saturday morning. If you plan it just right you can fly in for breakfast and head back out before the heat cranks up.

The Lady Taildragger Flyin: Shannon Gallagher completed her gift of artwork donated to benefit our hosts, Susan Theodorelos and Andy Heins. A commissioned artwork was purchased by Patrick Hilt and at his request,  Shannon painted both Andy and Susan’s Wacos. I understand the painting is complete, framed and Susan and Andy are tickled as they can be. Thanks, again, Shannon for your very kind donation.

About the lady taildraggers fly-in….

We’re on for 2012 at Moraine Airpark/Dayton

Susan & I are working on finalizing the date but I’m thinking mid-August once again.

Check back – we’ll confirm the date soon!

In the meantime, plan on that fabulous Saturday night ribeye dinner again

Absolutely gorgeous sunset pic. I hope somebody wins a prize for that one!
