712 SW RASBERRY CT, LAZY S FARMS – 7FL7, FORT WHITE, FL
Airstrip co-owner and RAF member Lynn Gardner has begun work on blending together access to O’Leno State Park with revitalizing an oak-canopied camping area and tying it all together with aircraft access to her airstrip. It’s an exciting prospect with much promise. It also seemed a good reason to invite interested RAF members to join us, offer suggestions on her plan, and enjoy a BBQ together, perhaps a soak in Lynn’s big hot tub and camp for the night at 7FL7 if you’d like.As we move forward with the project, there will no doubt be plenty of opportunity to draft you for one kind of work party or another. But the goals of this ‘inaugural’ gathering are simple: To walk the property, share a bit of the property’s recent history, and share an outline of what she has in mind. That’s where you come in, ‘cause at the idea stage all thoughts & suggestions are welcome.
The fun side of the event will be an evening BBQ…and Lynn & Mic really do have a nice new hot tub. (Bring your trunks!) BYOB and bring something to share if you can. A restroom is on the premises in Lynn’s new hangar which she & Mic recently built. The turf airstrip is 1800’ long x 100’ wide, is unimproved and with tall tree obstructions at the west end. Pilots land at their own risk and with the understanding that runway hazards can include but are not limited to ant hills, gopher holes and various critters on the runway. Pilots should be current in their short field landing/take-off techniques. CTAF is 122.9 and please bring your own tie-downs.
So…come on over to 7FL7 and help build Lynn’s vision!

Lynn Gardner
