Apr 2010 Jan Johnson, Citabria 7ECA
Jan Johnson, San Jose, California.
I’m relatively new to flying, but have been around airplanes my entire life. I earned my private pilot certificate in October 2009, flying a Piper Cherokee Warrior, then immediately jumped into learning to tame a taildragger. I currently fly a Citabria 7ECA, but am eager to move up to the 7KCAB and eventually the Decathlon. I’m learning aerobatics right now and love it.
My goal is to eventually get checked out in the North American AT-6D “Texan” from World War II. I’m also quite fond of the North American P-51 Mustang.
Looking forward to meeting some of the other taildragger gals at a future fly-in.
Blue skies,
Jan Johnson

Posted at 14:46h, 27 DecemberCongrats, Jan, on adopting “Elsie” your LC-126 (a.k.a., Cessna 195)! Can’t wait to meet her!

Posted at 21:49h, 18 JanuaryThanks, Coyle!
I partially blame YOU for this insanity. After all, it was YOUR beautiful yellow and white Cessna 195 that I crossed paths with at Oshkosh in 2010. I stopped in my tracks and took two photos of your baby. I was instantly smitten, and knew someday I too would own a 195. Or rather, a 195 would own ME!
You have permission to fly Elsie whenever you are in town. Let me know, and the left seat is yours.
Radially yours,
JJ
