Janet Davidson (Maryland)

Janet Davidson is based at KFDK, Frederick Municipal Airport, Frederick, Maryland.

I’m Scottish, lived in the USA since 2001 after being fortunate enough to move here with my husband. I flew for the airlines in the UK, had a part share in an L-4 Cub, then owned a Nanchang CJ-6A, which I brought with me when we moved to Oshkosh, WI. Since living in the US, I have been fortunate enough to have flown a lot of GA – Glastar, Citabria, TravelAir E4000, Waco YKS-7, Cub, tailwheel Maule, C180. I’ve loved exploring this country with my husband in our trusty C180 – up to Canada, across to the west coast, lots of fun trips camping under the wing of the aeroplane.  I flew some 135, and mainly corporate once I had a green card.  I was grounded a few years ago due to breast cancer, and am really enjoying finding my way back into the cockpit again.

Every aircraft I’ve flown is “the best”. Currently I’m flying a C172, a CJ3 and a PA-11. Dream Taildragger: The one I’m flying at the time.

About taildragging: They encompass everything that I love about flying – history, adventure, challenges, fun. What’s not to love about them?
