This is my aircraft on the day of purchase – when she took ownership of me.
I began flying at the mid-century mark, got bitten by the aviation bug and have become increasingly passionate about flying over the past 8 years. Only a few weeks into lessons I discovered a deep attraction for antique aircraft and earned my tailwheel endorsement with ink still wet on the private pilot license. There is just nothing like the feeling when the tail comes up!
After working through instrument, commercial, CFI, CFII, multi-engine and MEI, I am finally in the process of transitioning away from work that required extensive business travel and into flight instruction as a new career. Much less money, much more soul satisfying. I own an RV-6 which is not an antique but is certainly a sweet taildragger.
