Karyn Wiemers (New Mexico)

Karyn Wiemers is based at Cavern City Airport (KCNM) Carlsbad, New Mexico and flies a Cessna 180 Skywagon.

I am a chemical engineer and have been flying a tailwheel for about 8 years.  Originally based in Washington my early tailwheel adventures took me to the Idaho backcountry.

Now based in New Mexico I am exploring south of the border. My tailwheel is my magic carpet. What else is there to say?

My husband and I & close friends will be spending January in Mexico/Central America; a flight of two taildraggers.

I enjoy the website and look forward to reading  more of your members’ adventures.

Karyn, I see you had that beautiful 180 at the hotel Serenidad in Baja. I flew mine there from Ohio 2 years ago for the 180/185 fly-in. When were you there?

Looks like the SW will be blue skies this weekend. We are off to Bisbee, AZ..a great old mining town turned artsy. Thanks for posting my input on Nov 10…it was a great BD present.
