Jan 2019 Cindy K (Kenya)
Cindy K is based at HKNY, Nanyuki Airport, Nanyuki, Kenya.

I am currently a student at Kenya School of Flying in Kenya. I acquired my PPL license in 2018 and I am now working on my CPL with 120 logged flying hours. I would love to encourage girls in my community to fight for their dreams because no dream is too big to achieve. All it takes is self-drive, discipline, focus and persistence. The universe always falls in love with a stubborn heart. I am extremely grateful to all the people who have supported me (family, friends, Instructors and fellow pilots) and I’m looking forward to what the future has in store.

I would love to work as a bush pilot once I’m done with my CPL. I love animals and would like to play a role in conservation, especially with the rise in Elephant and Rhino poaching . Taildraggers like the Super Cub are perfect for the bush life (that explains why she’s what I’d love to fly in the taildragger category)

Aircraft flown: C150 & C152
Dream Taildragger: Piper PA-18 Super Cub

Thoughts on taildragging: They are versatile. I love the fact they require an extremely short runway to take off and land. It’s fascinating. I’m always watching videos on YouTube and Instagram.
