Tuesday’s Lady Taildraggers lunch at Oshkosh!

If you’re heading to Oshkosh this year, let’s meet for lunch! Let’s plan to meet at the Hilton Garden Inn’s rooftop restaurant which is on the northwest corner of the airport in the North 40. The bus will take you right to it.  Tuesday, July 26 at 11:30. Wear your Ladies Love Taildraggers t-shirt if you have one!  That will help identify us but we’ll no doubt find each other either way.

Some of ladies love taildraggers lunch group meeting for the first time!!

Leave a comment if you’re planning on meeting us!!!

Hey, these girls just love to have fun!!

Carolyn, oh, you’ll be ready for a break from the Warbird guys by Tuesday!! It’ll be great to meet you. I caught up with your friend Terri Hull on Sunday. She was departing Reese Field when I was flying in and one of the local guys said “hey Judy, is that you?”. When I broadcast Rans on short final she guessed it must be me so she taxied back in. We ended up hanging out, flying back to her airport and going to dinner. Sure had a good time. Crazy but Hoot Gibson happened to be at the airport too!

I’ll be working at the T-34 Tent in the Warbirds Area, but will leave it with my husband to try to join you for lunch!

Lisa, do it – do it!!! Wendy, Anne and I’ll either be at New Holstein or OSH. We’ve got the LLT lunch on Tuesday and the LLT Vintage interviews on Wednesday at 11:00. You’ll get to meet Jeanne MacPhearson and her beautiful Cessna 180 – heck, I’ll get to meet them too! So glad the fish can wait this year!

It’s not going to be this year. We’re scheduled to be on a wild horse survey all next week. It’s about time I make some money…instead of just fly around spending it all the time. I know you’ll have fun. I’ll look forward to seeing everyone in pictures. Jeannie and I have met before, a few times, back when I lived in Montana.

Oh Lisa, I hate to hear you can’t make it this year. I was getting my hopes up. I know what you mean about always spending-fuel doesn’t come cheap anymore. I have to say, I can’t even image what a “wild horse survey” is though?!! Don’t think we have those in Indiana!

Counting, counting and more counting. I think we count just about every large, and even some small, wild critter that lives in Wyoming. Believe it or not, we even count fish. Wildlife is one of Wyoming’s greatest natural resources, and the Wyoming Game and Fish (along with BLM and US Fish and Wildlife) do a fantastic job of keeping tabs on every living thing and trying to maintain a balanced habitat for optimizing all things…now if we could just keep the laywers with their pet projects out!

Believe it or not…I’m feeling very drawn. I’m trying to figure out how to squeeze Osh Kosh (via New Holstein) into my schedule. One one hand, I have way too many things planned already in the next couple weeks, on the other hand…the last week of July is when we usually plant fish (so can never go to Osh Kosh). This year, I can’t go to the LLT fly-in because the late spring means we aren’t planting fish til the middle of Aug.

Nancy, we’d love to have you join us! If you fly – you’re in the sisterhood of traveling taildraggers, and occasional nosedraggers for good measure! I’ll add your name to the list and we’ll be looking for you. So glad to hear Elaine, Jeanne, Sharon, Anne and possibly Lorraine and Susan will meet us too. I haven’t been great at keeping track so add your name to this list if you think you’ll be there.

I fly a trike, or nose-dragger. Sorry, maybe I don’t fit in? Tuesday at 11:30 I am working Flight Line Ops, so I will already be in the neighborhood! How convenient! That is if you would accept a nose-dragger female pilot????

Hi ladies! I will be working at the Dakota Cub booth all week and won’t be able to make lunch Tuesday as I have an interview with EAA Radio (and Amy Laboda, who has a Kitfox!) at 10:30 and will have to fill in at the booth after that so others can grab lunch. Please stop by and say hi! Booth #270, SW corner of Hangar A–look for the blue-and-white airplane with big tires 🙂

I got lucky with my schedule – I’m volunteering at AirVenture and attending several events, but I will be free to roam the grounds on Tuesday — so I plan to be there for the lunch. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!
There’s a good chance I’ll get the award for lady taildraggers’ shortest distance to travel – under 1 hour drive!
