Jul 2010 Lady Taildraggers meet up at Oshkosh!
Tuesday, the gals from Ladies Love Taildraggers met up for lunch with the Back Country Pilots group.
The above picture includes Lynn Gardner, Judy Birchler, Bonnie Ritchie, Dianne from Back Country Pilots, Lynn’s tailwheel friend whose name I’ve misplaced!, Jan Johnson, Linda Guthrie, Susan Theodorelos & Heather Gamble.
Shortly after we took the group picture, Kelly Jeffries and her husband arrived and I snapped this quick picture of Kelly & Susan. Â What a great turnout of lady taildraggers!!
What a great spot to have a little lunch with a nice view of 27/9 and the North 40!
Not too shabby a turnout of lady taildraggers for a hot, sunny day at Oshkosh. Thanks to everyone that joined us and to the Back Country Pilots group for inviting us to their party!

Here’s just a couple pictures of the rows and rows and rows and rows… of taildraggers and other aircraft that fought the rain and soggy ground conditions and made it into Oshkosh by Tuesday.

Posted at 13:14h, 03 AugustSince I missed the Tuesday lunch, I was going to meet up at the Thursday lunch. I got to talking to a Naval Aviation historian, and lost track of the time. Someday, I’ll get to meet everyone….

Posted at 10:53h, 03 AugustGot to AirVenture on Thursday and went to the Control Tower at noon – very nice to meet Juliet Lindrooth. We had a great lunch at the Vintage Restaurant (mmm ribs!) and met up again at the Women in Aviation Breakfast.

Posted at 22:08h, 01 AugustAnne, did you see the Sloshkosh tshirts at Oshkosh?!! Pretty cool, especially considering they came up with it on the fly. We missed you at the LLT lunch!! You almost made it if you got there by 2pm Tuesday. We had a really nice turnout. Think positive weather thoughts for the fly-in!!

Posted at 21:58h, 01 AugustI finally got to Sloshkosh Tuesday around 2pm, and I am so bummed that I missed the lunch. Hopefully the weather is better for the August fly-in!

Posted at 17:01h, 28 JulySorry I missed the gathering. I own a Champ and fly most every weekend if the weather is permitting. I am at Oshkosh and just heard about your group from a lady at the Ninety-Nines’ tent. After my first flight in a taildragger… I never flew a spam can again!
