Lee Bottom Fly-in 2010

Near perfect day for Lee Bottom’s annual “Wood, Fabric, & Tailwheels Fly-In” yesterday. Heck, what am I saying? Lots of flyers with their camping gear come and hang out for at least a couple nights so it’s still happening today! Here’s just a few shots to share with those that were there and those that just wanna be there!

Lee Bottom Airport (64I) is located on the Ohio River south of Hanover in southeastern Indiana

*

The early birds get to snuggle up and tie down just at the edge of the woodline

*

Jim & Carrie “Just Married” & honeymooning at “Lee Bottom”! Cool!

*

Best part – they’re flying a Champ!!

*

Can’t wait to hear the official count of aircraft landing but suffice it to say – oodles!

*

Bumped into Shannon Gallagher & Chuck Avon

*

If you’re ever headed there, remember all traffic patterns are over the river because of this big hill on the west side of the runway

*

The lunch line moved quickly and gave everybody a chance to get some more visiting in

*

You gotta admit these look like pretty good seats

*

Saw all kinds of wings there!

*

Sure was happy to see Susan and Andy land in that beautiful Cabin Waco and find me and the Champ!

Many thanks to Rich & Ginger for all their time, effort, sweat and money it takes to maintain their beautiful airport and pull off this fly-in every year!!
