May 2011 Lynn Gardner’s Just Plane Fun Fly-in
Thanks to Lynn Gardner for sending in a few pictures from her fly-in weekend in NC!
I had to fly a Nose dragger for the 2nd Annual Just Plane Fun Day, Fly-in, in Brasstown, NC, but had a great time anyway. We had a descent turnout considering the ruff weather.

Saturday we had an oasis of calm in the valley and got to play in the games. Yes, we did play, spot landings, short-field takeoffs, short-field landings, bomb drop and limbo.

Limbo was my favorite. I managed 9’6″ with a 10′ 2″ airplane before I was eliminated. I did win the Short Field Takeoff with 92′. The Short Field landing went to Troy Woodland in the Red and Black bird with an amazing 65′ landing. I did come in a close second with 72′.
