Lynn Mareth – Idaho wilderness trip!

Lots of the gals registered on Ladies Love Taildraggers are married to guys who love flying taildraggers as much as they do!  Lynn Mareth owns and flies a 1954 Super Cub & husband Mike Perkins owns and flies this beautiful 1979 Cessna Skywagon. They recently returned from a great trip as you’ll see in Lynn’s photos.

From Lynn, “Just got back from an awesome trip with some great friends in the Idaho wilderness.”

The Moose Creek airstrip is located in the Idaho wilderness in the Nez Perce National Forest. It’s a great place to camp early and late in the season. (It can get really hot during the summer months.)

Me and the happy pups!

Beautiful Skywagons!

There are plenty of trails for hiking in the area and ample fishing opportunities in the Selway River and in Moose Creek.

Kiah is ready to be co-pilot

I do know Cathy. Her hangar is next door to mine. Glad you got such a great plane!

Thanks for the nice comments ladies! Idaho is one of my favorite places to visit during the summer.

Susan: My dogs are Aussies and they love flying with us. They both wear Mutt Muffs too.

Christina – I’ll look you up next time I pass through McCall. We stop there a lot for fuel next to Lori’s school. Also, our aiplane used to belong to Boyd Miller. You might know Cathy.

    Lynn,

Moose Creek is one of my favorite wilderness airstrips. Wish I knew you were coming. I live in McCall and fly Middle Fork, Big Creek, and Loon Creek drainages frequently. Next time, let me know and I’ll fly out and meet you. Just getting ready for a fly in backpack/fishing trip in the Frank Church with my brother and two cousins. I’ll post something about it: Either we’ll be at Thomas Creek or Upper Loon… Stay tuned. Glad you had such a blast in this fabulous country. It’s why I moved to Idaho.

Wow! That is absolutely gorgeous country out there! Your dogs are just beautiful… Aussies? I miss my old girl! Wish the old Warner was better suited to that type of flying! Thanks for sharing!!
