Marie Beaver is based at KDWH, David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport, Houston, Texas.
I learned to fly in a 1939 Piper J-3 Cub in 1992. Â Completed my license in a Citabria. Â Have owned a Pitts S-2B, 2 Globe Swifts, Bonanza (obviously, no tailwheel), Wilga, Scout, and currently a Maule on bush wheels. Â I fly taildraggers because I love the challenge and they look really cool. I’m married and fly for ExpressJet Airlines in the EMB-145.
We live in our hangar/home at Hooks airport. Â We love backcountry flying in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Utah.
Here’s my photo book from our trip to the backcountry. Enjoy!  Marie\’s Photo Book

Just watched your photo album last night at dinner with Mike celebrating his b’day! Sorry you missed the Woman Wise Airmanship Adventure but you can read all about it here complete with photos. You Tube will soon feature something about it too. Love your Maule. You really had fun this year in the backcountry doing what we all wish we could–fly around anywhere we want for as long as we want. You will love this blog. Great women all about having fun in their taildraggers. Welcome! You’re one of us know. See you next summer at the WWAA 2nd annual Adventure. They will all enjoy meeting you.

Tell Mike Happy Belated Birthday from us. So glad you enjoyed the book. Will coordinate our trip better next year so we can make it to your event. Think about joining us in UT. in October. Thanks for the warm welcome.
