From Judy: When I’m out flying I always hope to bump into another lady taildragger pilot. I was at Lee Bottom for the Sinful Sundae ice cream fly-in and was so happy to meet Melinda – parked right next to my Rans S7! It just so happens I was rushing back to grab something out of the plane when she and her husband were climbing in theirs to head home – and she was sitting in the pilot’s seat! It was very cool to meet another Indiana taildragger pilot – that’s actually close enough we can fly together.

Posted at 08:59h, 16 JuneThose polished airplanes are my cup of tea. We had a 1954 C180 that was the original aluminum with a dark green stripe. I put a lot of elbow grease into that one, even though my husband kept telling me “Let’s just paint it. It will be much easier to take care of.” But I was too motivated by the raving compliments we’d get. I bet you get lots too.
