Must see Stealth Bomber Refueling

I know that pilots and crews of U.S. Air National Guard units fly refueling missions every day. The level of precision flying involved has always astounded and intimidated me. Coming from the perspective of a general aviation pilot, the process of transferring fuel from one aircraft to another – in flight – is a hard thing to wrap my head around. Maneuvering into position under a KC-135 and holding her steady while hooking up to a flying boom is probably NOT going to happen to me. Never say never though! Either way, it doesn’t mean I can’t dream about it.

Here’s a LiveLeak video that reconfirms my appreciation of expert flying skills and fabulous aircraft. This is an awesome video!

Utah Air National Guard members from the 191st Air Refueling Squadron execute an air refueling mission from a KC-135 Stratotanker on Feb. 18, 2015. A B-2 Spirit from the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB, Missouri participated during this training mission. UNCLASSIFIED
