Yep, we’re finally heading southeast and on our way to NC26 in North Carolina, home of the first ever Ladies Only fly-in! What was to be a Supercub and Rans S7 flight of two turned into a flight of one when my formation flight partner, Anne Wright, got rained out in Michigan. She made it to Indy though, albeit by car, so I now it’s a two pilot, one airplane trip. 🙂
Wish us luck ’cause we just may need it. There’s a 50% to 60% chance of thunderstorms along most of our route today. Luckily my friend Phil Jones lent me his Garmin 496 with XM weather so I’m feeling a little better about steering clear of any storms.
Ladies, if you’d like to join us at NC26, come on! Julie Jetzer is hosting this event and just sent out her fun agenda. This is NOT the usual guys’ fly-in!! 😉
