Wow, Wow, Wow – today was a fantastic day at Sun ‘n Fun. Granted, your idea of fun has to be lots of lady taildragger pilots, lots of fantastic taildraggers and warm sunshine! Â I won’t bog you down with details, just a few, since it’s late and tomorrow’s Sun ‘n Fun is just hours away. The pictures tell the story way better than me anyway.

I had an invitation to attend the QB welcome to the WASP today. Here's there building at Sun 'n Fun.

I had an invitation to visit the QB’s today as they welcomed the WASP’s. Their building at Sun ‘n Fun is just west of the 99’s. I’m guessing they like their Bud.

The Quiet Birdmen. I was there today and although forewarned by many, witnessed nothing to be distressed about. Maybe they were on their best behavior but womanizing wasn't part of today's program.

The WASP were invited by the QB for drink and they attended.

The WASP were invited by the QB for drinks and they graciously attended. They were treated respectfully with a few gentlemen stopping by to say a few words.

I do think the QB could have done more than just find them a table and hand them a beer.

On the other hand, the 99â€™s hosted the WASP just before the QBs, right next door. The 99â€™s get it. They did it right featuring the WASPs signing Life Magazine cover shots, signing book autographs and offering them the extreme respect they deserve for their service to this country.

The Women in Aviation hosted a luncheon today with a fantastic panel of women involved in aviation. I'm not a member but it was not a requirement to attend.
