Sep 2015 ONE spectacular day at Antique Airfield, Iowa
I’m at the 2015 AAA/APM Fly-in at Antique Airfield, Iowa, and have been taking in all the eye-popping taildraggers all day. This place is incredible, the people are awesome, and there’s no where I’d rather be. Did I mention I hopped a ride with Dan Wilkins in his 1941 Waco UPF-7 …. his OSH award winning UPF-7? What an incredible flight …. and yes, I took the stick and did a little manhandling of this big, beautiful, and very gentle bird. In between I snapped some shots and took a quick video, just to prove my good luck.
I wonder if Dan Wilkins ever tires of posing in front of his drop dead gorgeous Waco UPF-7? NOPE!

I bumped into people all day long. Jessica Voruda was the first LadiesLoveTaildraggers member sporting her LLT tshirt just like me!
Then there was Sarah Dickerson and Dana Bain proudly showing off Dana’s Beaumont Hotel tshirt. I’m so jealous. (: Will I ever get there?!
These two gals didn’t let the grass grow under their feet. Sharon Tinkler & Shalyn Applegate were two ladies having a great time today.
