Jul 2014 OSH: The crowds are arriving.
AirVenture officially begins tomorrow and that means right now this place is crawling with pilots, vendors, volunteers and families. We ran across this camping family who has attended OSH for over 30 years, just like so many of us. I don’t have the badges and buttons to prove I was here, but believe me, I’m not a newbie. This is one week of fun and excitement I always look forward to!
We bumped into lady taildragger pilot Victoria Holt from Texas this afternoon and had a great time hanging out with her during one of today’s rain showers.
Tshirts are big business up here and we couldn’t help admiring a few cool one’s from the past. Love this!!
Warbirds was hopping today, not that they’ve all arrived by any means. There are big empty spaces just waiting for some big, bad birds to taxi up and tie down.
And one thing we’ve noticed, looks like it’s going to be a big year for creative reuse of cargo container at AirVenture. Kate took this cool picture of the Bendix OSH space and we can’t wait to get inside and check it out.
Kate & I are here – wish you were too. If you’re headed this way, look us up. My Rans S7 is #2 in the Rans row. Just look for the green Rans flags and my beautiful little yellow, white & periwinkle S7!
