Aug 2012 Recommendation from Sharon and Bill Tinkler
Luscombe, FOR SALE TO GOOD HOME
No, LadiesLoveTaildraggers isn’t selling airplanes! Â Sharon Tinkler isn’t selling them either! But ……. she would love to see the first Luscombe she owned go to a good home. (Now for sale in Georgia by others)
“This is my first Luscombe. I sold it to Charlie and his wife ML. Her name is Gracie (child of Grace) and she extended me a good deal of Grace while circumnavigating the eastern US, including a trip down the Mississippi during a bird migration. Doh! She was painted to match a china pattern – a discovery I made by googling the name in the graphic on the tail: taitu. That owner was a lady who worked in a P&I shop. No one else could afford that paint and interior job. She’d make a great trainer and has enough instrumentation to poke through a layer comfortably. She refused to hurt me even if I deserved it :). I’d take her back in a heartbeat put I just poured all my money into restoring the one I have now. Retired now, too. Somebody give her a good home and give me visiting rights???”
