Jan 2013 Nancy Pierce’s Retractable N14LB, Midget Mustang
I love the opportunity to showcase incredible taildraggers so I was thrilled to receive this next video. Owner and pilot Nancy Pierce is flying her single place, retractable Midget Mustang, which by any standards, is a work of art. Those that have seen this all aluminum, highly polished aircraft, describe it as an example of the finest in hand metal forming.
I own and fly N14LB, a Midget Mustang. Â It was the Oshkosh Grand Champion Homebuilt in 1973. Â I have owned it for more than 25 years and love it more today than ever. Â I have flown nothing but taildraggers for several years.

Here’s a very short movie taken in early November on the way to an airport restaurant for a $100 hamburger. We were crossing the Red River (border between Texas and Oklahoma). It was taken from an RV-6. The noise is the RV-6 engine.
Happy New Year to all!

Posted at 20:33h, 02 AugustNancy, I grew up in Norwalk, Ohio, and Lloyd Butler was in our EAA chapter (I was just a kid). I watched his Midget Mustang being built. Is it ever available for viewing? I’d love to see that plane again.

Posted at 16:46h, 09 FebruaryHello Nancy,
Green of envy about N14LB.
Give me a call when it needs a new home. We pilots are not owners, just caretakers.
Fly straight , fly safe.
All the best and greetings from EBGB,
Tom
