Looking for ROUND ENGINE ladies

Radial 9

Ladies, we still need round engine aircraft owners at Oshkosh in a few weeks.

Are you a RADIAL engine enthusiast?

Are you female?

Are you flying a ROUND engine aircraft to AirVenture this year?

LadiesLoveTaildraggers has once again been invited to show our stuff as part of Ray Johnson’s “VINTAGE IN REVIEW” program and in association with the EAA Vintage Aircraft Association’s Round-Engine Rodeo.

Radial 5 This year program host Ray Johnson has announced that Wednesday, July 31 will be “Ladies Round Engine Day” in Vintage and invited all our ladies to participate and our “round engine ladies” to display their aircraft and be interviewed.Airventure Vintage We are looking for several women volunteers who plan on flying to Oshkosh and who would like to display their aircraft for 24 hours in the “Vintage” area as well as participate in Ray’s ‘Vintage in Review” Wednesday program. Ray will spend about 30 minutes interviewing the pilots, talking about their aircraft, their engines and our LadiesLoveTaildraggers organization.

Radial 8 Ray says, “Not mandatory, but if the ladies could dress in period clothes it would be very cool.” He also said “having many LadiesLoveTaildraggers members there wearing LLT T-Shirts would be excellent!!”

Radial 6

Ladies your aircraft does not have to be a “show plane” to be displayed, so don’t let that hold you back. The only requirements are radial engine aircraft, classic or antique, and flown by a female pilot. This is the year of the radial at Oshkosh. It would be great to have a wonderful turnout of round engine gals and as many LLT members as possible that Wednesday to cheer our ladies on!! Please leave a comment if you would like to participate.

What is Round Engine Rodeo?

Welcome! The “Good ol’ Days” are returning, at least for a week!

That’s right. For one full week from July 29 through August 4, 2013, the U.S. skies will be filled with the beautiful rumble of round-engine-equipped airplanes en route to Oshkosh.

The Vintage Aircraft Association (VAA), serving as the official host for this historic event, is inviting the round-engine universe to attend and participate in EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013.

All owners, pilots, and enthusiasts of round-engine aircraft are formally invited to fly their beautiful airships to Oshkosh and participate in this event, a week long gathering to get together with others who share the passion for these fantastic old airplanes and engines.
