‘Awesome on steroids’ is the word on today’s LadiesLoveTaildraggers Texas fly-in! An upbeat comment like that usually doesn’t jive with 500 foot a.m. ceilings or the fact that we had to nix our fly-out poker run, but the crappy flying weather turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I mean, really, who gets a call from Scott Glover at the Mid America Flight Museum saying he’s checked the WX and knows our next day Poker Run just can’t happen? He says, come over and I’ll give your group a personal tour of the collection and throw in a pizza party lunch to boot. Hey, it was a no-brainer!
