“Saturday I was out flying the RNF — it was such a gorgeous morning — Andy was helping with Young Eagle rides and when I came in from giving a young fellow a ride — he flagged me down and had a very smiley young girl tagging along — so I stopped and he introduced me to Sophie who had just taken her first ride ever in a plane with Andy!

So of course she had to see what a “cool” airplane is like — so we got her buckled in and turned around for the taxi back to the end of the runway. I was asking her if she wanted to be a pilot… “Oh yes!” — and I said, “That’s good we need more women pilots! They make better pilots anyway!” And I hear this sweet voice up front say — “Women are better at a lot of things!” I said, “Sophie you are my new best girlfriend!!”

Posted at 19:53h, 13 MayWhat a wonderful post. You’ve definitely got her hooked. Plus, Sophie was doing research for her end-of-year project (a multi-genre study of a subject, she chose flight!) and loaded up this page during school. She got to share it with her class!
