Mar 2014 The Lucky Lorraine Morris – Checked out in EAA’s B-17, Aluminum Overcast
Pilot updates from our ladies don’t get any better than this one from Lorraine Morris. Lorraine is based at C77, Poplar Grove Airport, IL and flies anything and everything. I’d say this falls in the “EVERYTHING” class!
I was asked to try out to fly the B-17 owned by EAA, Aluminum Overcast. I just did my tryout last week. Made it, then did the SIC training. I am official, can you believe it! It is quite amazing to be given this opportunity. Here are a few pictures from training.
It is a BIG TAILDRAGGER, but the same basics apply when flying it as the Cessna 140!
