Thursday at Triple Tree, SC Fly-in

Woohoo, that’s me!! We may not look like much, but my Rans S7 got me to Triple Tree! Photo by Yvette Tracy flying alongside me with Bill Tracy in their Supercub.

I am thrilled to report there are many lady taildragger pilots at Triple Tree. Meet Wanda Goodman from Virginia and her pristine Stinson Voyager. The “hot red” paint job is fantastic and she credits her husband for the spraying and herself for the prepping & taping. Great teamwork!

Angela Leedy flew her Cubcrafters Cub solo from New Jersey. She timed her departure to escape the hurricane slamming New Jersey, arriving Triple Tree Tuesday, the day before arrivals were accepted. From what I hear, they are busy at Triple Creek cutting grass and getting all ready for the big event on Wednesday.  No problem, Angela had no problem finding an alternate spot to hang out till Wednesday!

Most pilots will never see the entrance to the gate from roadside. Triple Tree. It’s an airport. It’s a park. It’s a destination for aviators of all sorts!

I’ve never flown anywhere with park like aircraft parking & camping that can accommodate 1,000 plus airplanes.

Tonight was “Grill your own fillet” night accompanied with sweet potato praline casserole, green beans and salad. Oh ya, and that homemade banana pudding dessert. Better get here ya’all, tomorrow’s supposed to be even better!
