I’m a certificated flight instructor and teach primarily at Auburn Municipal Airport in Auburn, CA. I fell in love with flying - and especially flying tailwheels - flying in my dad’s J3 Cub with him as a kid. As soon as I got my PPL, I hopped in that cub and got my tailwheel endorsement! I currently train in tricycle gear airplanes, but I would love to teach tailwheel someday. However, I would like to have many more hours and utmost confidence in my own ability to recover from squirrelly situations before taking the next step to teaching in tailwheel aircraft! For now, I’m happy cruising around in my dad’s cub and learning as much as I can from fellow tailwheel pilots and instructors!

I love the challenge a taildragger provides! You must stay focused at all times and can never get lazy. I truly feel like the cub is an extension of me when I’m flying it, and that’s a beautiful feeling.
