I'm Jenn, I grew up in northern IL/Southern WI and I've been involved in aviation since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I did a lot of glider flying as a kid, and even some weight shift flying. My first taildragger was a Stearman, and, naturally, my first tailwheel landing was in said Stearman. I'm also a cartoonist, I draw the "WingBeans" line art aviation cartoon series. I like technology--I went to school in Florida to become FCC licensed as an avionics technician with my radar endorsement, and I enjoy developing add on aircraft for x-plane flight simulator. I've owned several aircraft including a Vans RV-4, and I am now the proud owner of a fully restored 1939 Luscombe 8A.
Just listing the taildraggers: Luscombe 8A, Piper PA-16 Clipper, Vans RV-4, Pitts, Stearmans, Cubs, Champ, Citabrias, Super Decathlons, T-6s, P-51C, Vans RV-6, RV-8, RV-7, Waco UIC cabin, Waco VPF-7 (Victor Paul Frank 7), Cessna 140, PT-22, probably more that I can't think of at the moment.
The simplicity, elegance, and nostalgia of conventional gear.
