My story in a nutshell? I'm thrilled to be flying again after a long hiatus of riding strictly right seat. Years ago, with less than 500 hours logged, I reluctantly gave up my flying privileges when I was suddenly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This was before FAA waivers for Type 1 and “Light Sport Pilot” existed and having Type 1 meant you would never fly again. Regulations did eventually change and I'm finally back in the left seat again!
I have always been passionate about taildraggers having owned a 65 hp Porterfield for my first airplane and a 1946 Cessna 140 for my second. There was even a short excursion with an American Yankee AA1 and more recently an Aeronca Champ. Today I'm happy to be flying my experimental Rans S7.
I started “LadiesLoveTaildraggers” in the hope of finding other like minded ladies who love taildraggers as much as I do. I have not been disappointed!
