We have a new licensed taildragger pilot! Neroli Henwood

Great news from Neroli Henwood who lives in Hamilton New Zealand and flies this beautiful Super Cub.

I had to share my awesome morning with you. I sat my Private Pilots Flight Test this morning and am so happy to have passed. This is about 25 years after my first Flight Test and then licence lapse.

"Photo of me landing at the end of my test"

It went really well and I actually enjoyed it! It has been a lot of work with all the exams and practice flying, but feels great to have finally got my licence back :). I am so lucky that my lovely husband is such a great instructor and of course our beautiful Supercub!

Now I have to patiently wait for my new licence to arrive in the mail before I can take all the ladies I know who love flying for a ride. Our two daughters are lining up for the first rides 🙂

Also I was amazed to see that the mishap pictures you put up contains one of our Cub (What Do Kids and Taildraggers Have in Common?). The photo of the sad little red Cub upside down is our darling. This happened to the previous owner and we bought her after the rebuild. Amazing what you see on the net!!

What are the odds of this, Neroli seeing this picture on Ladies Love Taildraggers?! Small world alright.

Take care and fly safe

Neroli

    Thanks Anne!
Bill is a very patient man and is out giving our eldest daughter a flying lesson at the moment. He has the patience of a saint!!!
We are actually looking for a PA-12 Supercruiser to import to NZ. There are none in NZ so it would be a first of type here. Bill flew a beautiful one belonging to Bob ? when we were at New Holstein and really liked it. So if anyone knows of one for sale that they can recommend, either in good flying order or in need of restoration, I would love to hear. 🙂
Hope you are doing plenty of summer flying 🙂

Congratulations, Neroli! Now you need at least one more Supercub, with all those pilots in the family!
