Aug 2011 Who’s going to the National Antique Airplane Association Fly-in at Blakesburg?
Girls, this was sent in by Gail Schipper (i.e. baby blue and beautiful Bucker Jungmann) and she wants to know who’s going to Blakesburg?
Gail says “I’d like to set Saturday as ‘Ladies Love Taildraggers’ t-shirt day. Love it if anyone else wants to go out and do some girlie fly-bys.”
National Antique Airplane Association Fly-In
August 31-September 5
Blakesburg, IA
Airport Identifier: IA27
http://www.antiqueairfield.com/flyins/life-begins-at-forty.html
40th Anniversary of the National Antique Airplane Associations Fly-in at Antique Field, IA27. This year the featured airplane is the Monocoupe. 5 days of flying, camping (with showers) on the field, gorgeous airplanes.
Please  leave a Comment if you’re heading that direction and I’ll send you Gail’s email and cell number. What a great idea to get all the lady taildragger pilots together in one spot to meet and do some flying. GREAT idea, Gail! Hope others are going from our group. If you know a lady taildragger pilot you think may be going but may not get this notice, please let me know who. I’ll get a message off to them. Hope you all have a fabulous time!!!

I think I just found you on the site. Are you flying the Cub?
Gail
Posted at 19:12h, 31 AugustYes, I’m flying the biplane. Things are easier going east. Once you get out of the state of Colorado the world is infested with airports. Having 2 hrs of endurance stops being such a problem.
Amy, what will you be flying? I’ll have the biplane in the picture in Judy’s post. I’ll be looking for you!
