May 2010 Thank heaven for Daylight Savings Time!!
I Love Daylight Savings Time!! Â I Love The Governor of Indiana for tirelessly pushing for Daylight Savings Time!! OK, this is really Old news now and nobody outside of Indiana really cares but I, for one, get a kick out of watching the clock get later and later while the sun keeps on shining! Â And what do I do with all that extra daylight………
It took more than 2 dozen attempts that drug on for years but  in 2005 it finally passed the legislature and in 2006 it became law – Eastern Daylight Savings Time finally arrived in Indiana!  It barely squeaked through the state legislature but they really did got the job done.  So now, I can have extra hours to….
- spend more time in my  Champ!
Looks good from any altitude……..

Posted at 09:31h, 05 MayI love DST! When we lived in Indiana, we couldn’t figure out why they didn’t have DST. We were told the cows didn’t like it. I’m glad the cows decided it was okay, because there’s nothing better in the summer than going out to the airport in the evening for a sunset flight.

Posted at 23:18h, 04 MayAmen, Amen, AMEN!!! Tuesday night is always “Airport Night” at I73 — and tonight you could tell everyone had enough of the rain over the weekend! I was flying 663Y — Andy was up in the Cabin Waco messing up my air, four Decathalon’s, (two of them doing formation aerobatics– awesome) 1 Citabria, 3 RV-4’s, and a Straight tail 172 all filled the sky tonight! It was incredible! I gave three rides to open cockpit newbies (two of them were British!) — always great fun! Despite daylight savings time, we were all trying to figure out how to put a stick under the sun to keep it up a little longer! The sky was just beautiful and the air smooth as glass (as long as I stayed out from behind Andy!) The 3 RV’s came in formation and tore up the runway a bit before landing — spraying for mosquitos (two had smoke systems) and clearing the all the birds from the grass runway! Unfortunately, no cool photos like the ones above to share…we were too busy flying! LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
