Oct 2017 Your Vote Counts: 2018 LadiesLoveTaildraggers Fly-in
As promised, the following are the airports and people who’ve expressed interest in hosting our 2018 LadiesLoveTaildraggers Fly-in. I’ve heard from some incredible airports that span the distance from eastern America to the Pacific and north into Canada. All who emailed me directly are included. Those who randomly Facebooked may not be. Please vote on one of the 9 selections below but remember, you only get ONE vote per IP address. If you believe we’ve found the perfect airport, vote for it. If not, vote for the final selection “Keep Looking” and leave a comment. Email LadyTaildraggers@gmail.com if your airport is not included and would like to be considered. Finding the right airport is never quick and easy and I appreciate all the help you can give me!
- KSZP, Santa Paula, California. Invited by Lisa Kienholz and Rowena Mason. I keep hearing ‘West is Best’ and this is one amazing airport.
- KSUN, Friedman Memorial Airport, Idaho. Invited by Christina Tindle. “I’ll let you all camp in my living room…breakfast too of course. Side trips to backcountry, volcano rocks, Red Fish Lake and more. Yeah, it’s a distance…BUT SO WORTH IT!!!”
- 10CO Mack Mesa Airport, Colorado. Invitation from Elizabeth Reese. “It’s private, but I can make it happen! 😀”
- 61S Cottage Grove State Airport, Oregon. Invitation from Cassandra at the Oregon Aviation Historical Society & Museum, located at the west end of the Cottage Grove State Airport. “We would LOVE the opportunity to host the LLT Fly-In here in lovely Cottage Grove, Oregon.”
- GA87 High Valley Airpark, Georgia. Invited by Kathy Davis. 2000′ Grass strip in the Smoky Mountains. Oh baby!
- CNV8 Edenvale Airport, Ontario, Canada. Invited by Robin Hadfield. “Come up to Canada – we can host it at CNV8!” Robin’s been wanting to get us North of the line for long time. Is 2018 the year?!
- GA2 Alexander Memorial Airport, Georgia. Invited by Cayla McLeod. 2400′ Grass Strip south of Atlanta, GA. For those who knew Ron Alexander, this was his airport.
- KSZY, Robert Sibley Airport Selmer, Tennessee. Invited by Byron Conaway. Byron will give an Experimental Christavia tandem aircraft to one lady who attends flyin at KSZY. (This entry has been corrected; KSYI, which had received 19 votes, was incorrect airport code.)
- And by all means, if you don’t see what you’re looking for, please vote for “Keep Looking”. Please leave comments and suggestions.
